UWEC Helps Out!

I am very grateful for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Center for Service-Learning for bringing Ben Lee and Tanner Herkert’s incredible problem solving skills as we bridge nature and technology!  We were able to set up a new camera at Hickory Hills.

This is truly the experience I wanted; working with bluebirds while recognizing what an incredible and talented community we have here in Eau Claire, Wisconsin!

Per Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s NestWatch, Eau Claire is the first community in the United States of America to incorporate a citizen science project like this and effectively demonstrate how to restore nature by using technology to help scientists by our observations.

What a blessing to be working with such talented UWEC students!

Technology and Nature will be displayed at the Bluebird Festival, this Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Hickory Hills Golf Course in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
