Bluebirds Fly North to Spooner, WI

The songbirds may be leaving, but the Bluebird Trails are still coming. Currently, Bluebird Experience has two new trails in the works for the 2017 birding season. One located in Forest Hill Cemetery, Eau Claire and the other on the walking trail between Spooner Elementary School and High School.

Tristan Nelson, sophomore at Spooner High School, is earning his Eagle Scout Award by establishing a 10 nest box trail to be monitored by Spooner’s After School Program. On September 21st, 2016 Bluebird Experience traveled up to Spooner, WI to help Tristan build nest boxes with after school kids. Tristan will be installing the Bluebird Trail before the 2017 season. Congratulations Tristan! Keep up the good work!

Building was a huge success due to the fact that Mr. Build It, Larry Bennett, was able to lead the process. Larry has been building Bluebird houses for the past 40 years. He has been instrumental with every Bluebird Experience Bluebird Trail and we couldn’t do it without him! Thank you Larry for all your time, effort, and shared skills.
